The Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) President Mohammed Saad Almeghaiseeb yesterday welcomed the FIBA delegation, led by its President Hamane Niang, who arrived in Doha ahead of their inspection visit to the venues which will host the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
FIBA's Central Board in April announced that Qatar has been awarded the hosting rights for the prestigious tournament, which will be held in Middle East and North African (MENA) region for the first time in the history.
