FIFA TV launches World Cup Qatar 2022 magazine show

Doha: The first episode of monthly FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Magazine Show was released recently on the official YouTube channel of FIFA.

In its first episode the show provides a recap of Qatar's journey in the last ten years. The episode begins with the FIFA announcement in December 2010, picking Qatar to host the 2022 World Cup. With anecdotes from football fans to its museums, stadiums and large infrastructure – the video features all aspects of Qatar. 

Secretary-General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy and Qatar 2022 Chairman Hassan Al Thawadi then goes on to explain about the stadiums and their unique designs.  CEO, FIFA World up Qatar, Nasser Fahad Al-Khater talks about the infrastructure and metro connectivity to stadiums. 

The episode also gives a glimpse of its victory at the AFC Asian Cup in 2019. The show also covers Aspire Academy followed by a small section showing where various countries currently stand in World Cup qualifying for Qatar 2022. 

The different tournaments organised by Qatar in the midst of difficult circumstances of Covid-19 and the precautionary measures taken by the health authorities form the next part of the show. It then goes on to describe the country's experience of hosting the FIFA Club World Cup 2019. 

The show concludes with a preview of the next episode where the FIFA Club World Cup 2020, Katara Arabian Horse Festival and the country's first public holiday of National Sport Day will be featured.
