Doha: The Qatar Open Shotgun championship will kick off with the Skeet event for women at the Losail Shooting Range here today.
Leading the challenge in the women’s section are several former world and Olympic champions.
Around 250 shooters from 33 countries will be competing in Double Trap, Skeet and Trap events at the $132,600 championship.
The eight-day championship, is hosted by Qatar Shooting and Archery Association (QSAA) for the fifth successive year and will be held in both the men’s and women’s section. This year the organisers have added the junior category for both boys and girls.
