Minister of Environment and Climate Change H E Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie and Minister of Transport H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Thani with senior officials and guests taking part in National Sport Day activities.
DOHA: The Ministry of Transport and entities of the transportation system yesterday marked the National Sport Day 2025. The events were organized at the Old Doha Port with the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), Qatar Aeronautical Academy (QAC), Mwani Qatar, Qatar Navigation (Milaha), QTerminals, Qatar Rail, Mowasalat (Karwa), and the Hamad Port Project.
On this occasion, Minister of Transport H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Thani said, “The National Sport Day reflects our leadership’s vision for the importance of sports for building humans and a healthy, productive society that is capable of effectively contributing to the country’s development and progress, in line with the goals of the QNV2023.”
Mohamed Faleh Alhajri, in charge of managing the QCAA said, “Sport Day carries a powerful message and embodies strong values that highlight Qatar’s commitment to promoting sports and encouraging healthy lifestyles. ”
Director General of Qatar Aeronautical Academy, H E Sheikh Jabor bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Thani, has affirmed the Academy’s commitment to celebrating National Sports Day.
CEO of Mwani Qatar Capt. Abdulla Mohamed Al Khanji, emphasised that dedicating an annual day to sports delivers a clear message encouraging individuals to make sports an integral part of their daily lives.
Fahad Saad Al Qahtani, Group CEO of Milaha, said: “The 2025 National Sports Day is an exceptional event that reflects the visionary approach of the State of Qatar in making sports an integral part of community life. ”
Mowasalat (Karwa) CEO Ahmad Hassan Al Obaidly said, “Qatar National Sports Day embodies the State’s dedication to fostering a culture of sports and physical well-being across all segments of society. ”
Executive Director of the Hamad Port Project Eng Nabil Mohammed Al-Khalidi emphasized that the National Sports Day, is when we honor the spirit of competition, and the power of sport to unite, inspire, and bring its positive impact in our Qatari society.
