Chairman of Syrian Medical Association Dr. Muhammad Munjid
Doha: The Syrian Medical Association in Qatar yesterday held its 3rd annual conference in Doha. The conference was opened with prayers for those who lost their lives in the devastating earthquake in Syria and Turkiye.
The conference was attended by Counsellor Saad Baroud, First Secretary of the Syrian Embassy. During the event the role of the Syrian doctors was praised in particular during crisis, supporting Syrian medical cadres in Qatar, and Syrian community in general. Chairman of Syrian Medical Association Dr. Muhammad Munjid asked members to donate for the victims of the earthquake through the official channels in Qatar including Qatar Red Crescent and Qatar Charity.
Dr Ahmed Idlibi, head of health education at the Red Crescent, briefed participants about the precautionary methods to be taken during an earthquake.
