Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Monday the opening of an additional border crossing in the southern Turkiye, to speed up the voluntary return of Syrian refugees to their homeland.

Following a government meeting in Ankara, Erdogan said the Yayladag crossing will be opened for the return of Syrians to avoid congestion in other crossings, hoping an increase in the voluntary, safe and orderly return of Syrians to their homeland.
