Doha, Qatar: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, H E Dr. Ayman Al Safadi, has warned that the continuation of war on Gaza Strip will drag the region into an all-out conflict, pointing out that Israel is determined to pursue the effacement policy in the strip to create a new reality on the ground.

In his remarks during a session held at Doha Forum 2023 that was kicked off yesterday, Al Safadi said what is happening in Gaza could be described as a systematic act to expel Gaza population, pointing out that there are Israeli calls in this direction to burn the Palestinians and wipe them off.

He called on the United States to ramp up more pressure on Israel to halt its crimes in Gaza, adding that Israel defies the world, violates the international law, and perpetrates war crimes and genocide, as per international laws, stressing that its continuation of this approach endangers the entire region and leads to an all-out conflict.

During the recent meeting with the American side, there was an outright call for stopping the assault, getting the humanitarian assistance, and protecting civilians, as there is a big standoff with Washington with respect to halting these atrocities, Al Safadi added.

Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that Israel ignores the calls to act based on the international law and unleashes an unprecedented and brutal war while the world remains incapable of holding it to account. He warned that the Israeli practices create a hatred in the region that will potentially expand for generations to come, adding that this war cannot be won.

Al Safadi underscored rejection of any approach on Gaza alone, stressing that Israel wants to continue the aggression anticipating that the entire world will accept the reality it wants to impose which is to isolate Gaza and make life conditions impossible.

The basic question is the Palestinian cause, and there will never be any security, peace or stability in Israel and the entire region unless Palestine obtains security, peace, and stability, he stressed.

He asserted that the only solution for the conflict is to end the occupation and secure the legitimate Palestinian rights in establishing an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, adding that this is the sole demand without returning to a prolonged process after thirty years have been wasted and nothing happened except doubling the settlement and consolidating the occupation.
