Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has concluded the activities of the summer camps for the year 2023, which were organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports and Youth.

Based on the Ministry’s vision to consider education as an essential pillar in building a thinking and creative generation, it successfully achieved the objectives of the summer programme over four weeks within seven educational and sports facilities around the country. The summer camps organised a closing ceremony in the presence of students, parents, cadres and leaders from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

The outstanding and distinguished students in the activities were honoured during the ceremony. The ceremony also included artistic segments, theatrical performances, and sports activities, which reflected how students benefit from the summer camps in enhancing the talents and creativity of the participants.

This year’s summer programme received broad participation from students, as the number of participants reached more than 2,000 in the summer activity centres.

These activities were launched on July 13 under the slogan “Towards the Future” to direct the energies of students through a set of educational, purposeful, and diverse activities within the summer programme, and lectures, and training workshops to enrich and invest students’ leisure time with everything valuable and positive.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education sought to achieve many significant objectives through these centres, such as enhancing students’ values, building a balanced personality in the light of the tolerant Islamic faith, and instilling the importance of teamwork and positivity among the participants.

The Ministry also aimed to support students’ sense of belonging to their country, its leaders, scholars, and their society, introducing them to the country’s institutions and facilities and developing the spirit of preserving them. Additionally, the Ministry focused on discovering and refining students’ talents, strengthening their experiences, developing their various skills, protecting them from the adverse effects of vacuum, and training them to take responsibility and social participation.
