DOHA: The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) has released the 21st edition of its official magazine “Qatar Sport Magazine”.
The newly-released edition is packed with multiple and significant topics including major sport, academic and historical events that were held in the country recently.
The cover image of the newly-released edition is from the Schools Olympic Programme (SOP) competitions which was considered a huge success.
QOC Secretary General Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said in a message: “We are delighted to report that this year saw a continuation of the growth that has been a consistent feature of this hugely popular event. This year 22,000 young people of both genders took part in a programme which embraces 10 Olympic and Paralympic sports under the theme of “Sport and investment.”
The edition contains a feature on recently-retired English football star David Beckham.
The edition also contains a special report about the National Sport Day (NSD) that was held on February 12.
Additionally, there is a report on triathlon which looks into depth of the the Olympic version of the sport.
Also in the magazine, the QOC Assistant Secretary General Meshaal Nasser Al Khalifa speaks about the impact NSD has had as well as the lifestyle changes.
