Doha: Filipinos in Qatar can enjoy a folklore dance show one day and learn a bit about it the next.
Both programmes are to happen at Katara Cultural Village.
On Sunday, April 14, Embassy of Philippines in association with Cultural Village Foundation – Katara - is conducting "Indayog ng Pilipinas" : A Showcase of Philippine Folkloric Dances at 7 pm .
Children below 6 years are not allowed.
Next day, on April 15, under the aegis of the embassy, a dance workshop ‘Basic and Fundamentals of Philippine Folk Dance will be conducted by Ramon Obusan Folkloric Dance Group.
The venue: Rehearsal Room, Building 16, Katara Cultural Village.
Morning session: 10 pm -12 pm (50 participants)
Evening session 1 pm - 4 pm (50 participants)
People aged 8 years and above can participate.
Participants of afternoon session should bring in snacks and two hand fans; if the fans are not available improvised ones are accepted.
Qatari ID or copy of the valid Philippine passport need to be shown.
