Jeddah: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed its hope that efforts to achieve comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in Ukraine will culminate in success.
In a joint statement issued at the end of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to the Kingdom, Saudi Arabia expressed its hope that the Ukrainian crisis will end in accordance with international law and the UN Charter, including respect for the principles of sovereignty and internationally recognized borders.
Both Saudi Arabia and Ukraine affirmed their determination to strengthen bilateral relations, enhance cooperation in various fields, especially investment and trade, and improve joint coordination on issues of mutual interest at both the regional and international levels.
In the joint statement, the two countries praised the strength of their economic ties, emphasized the importance of collaborating to increase trade exchange, and welcomed the re-establishment of the Saudi-Ukrainian Joint Business Council in 2025. They also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening investment relations by fostering promising investment and economic partnerships in priority sectors for both nations.
According to the statement, the two sides expressed their aspiration to explore opportunities for joint cooperation in the fields of oil, gas and their derivatives, as well as petrochemicals. They also welcomed the expansion of private sector investment partnerships between the two countries in agriculture and food industries, and agreed on the importance of strengthening cooperation in agriculture and food security.
The statement further indicated that the Ukrainian side expressed its appreciation for Saudi Arabia's efforts regarding the crisis in Ukraine and thanked the Kingdom for the humanitarian and development aid it has provided to Ukraine.

The two sides discussed aspects of bilateral relations and the latest developments in the Ukrainian crisis.
