Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce in cooperation with Mannai Trading Company, the agent of Subaru Impreza cars, has announced the recall of 2004-2007 Subaru Impreza vehicles due to a defect in the inflatable airbags for the driver's seat device.
The recall comes within the framework of ongoing coordination and follow-up by the ministry to ascertain the extent of car dealerships' commitment to follow up vehicles' defects and repair them to protect consumers' rights.
The ministry stressed that it will coordinate with the dealership to follow up maintenance and repair operations and will communicate with customers to ensure implementation of the procedures to fix defects.
The ministry urged all customers to report any violations to the Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department which receives complains and suggestions through its communication channels or through the Ministry's account the social networking sites, or the Ministry's application on smartphones or electronic media system in the commercial complexes.
