DOHA: Qatar Exchange (QE) extended its bullish trend yesterday edging 1.01 percent or 87.81 points to close at 8,781.70 levels.
All the sector indices, except consumer goods and services, ended the session in green zone. The Bank and Financial Services sector outperformed, adding 2 percent. Transport, Real Estate and Insurance followed it with 0.9 percent each.
Advancers outnumbered the decliners with a margin of 27 to 12 and the price of 2 companies remained unchanged.
Ahli Bank Qatar was the top gainer, going up by 8.32 percent. Qatar National Bank and Doha Bank performed best amongst the heavy weights, going up by 2.86 percent each.
Qatar General Insurance Reinsurance Company declined the most, dropping 3.46 percent.
The index gained 212.57 points, or 2.48 percent, during the week, to close at 8,781.70
Out of the 42 listed companies, 29 companies ended the week higher, while 12 fell and 1 remained unchanged.
Ahli Bank was the top gainer, surging 7.07 percent. Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Co was the top decliner, down 13.04 percent.
