Doha: On its weather report for the weekend, Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) forecast cloudy conditions at times with a weak chance of scattered rain at some places. The temperature at night will be relatively cold.

QMD also warned about expected strong wind and high seas today and on Saturday.

In a recent post, QMD also stated that the cold weather condition is expected to continue during the weekend, especially during the night and early morning.

"The maximum ranging between 22-26 degree C and the lowest between 13-20 degree C in various regions of the country and reaching less than that, especially in the southern regions," QMD stated the same report.

The wind, on both days, is expected to blow mainly northwesterly at 5-15 KT inshore and 5-15 KT offshore, gusting to 21-22 KT at times.

The sea heights during the weekend will mainly vary between 2-3/4 ft inshore and 3-5 ft rising to a 6 ft on Friday and a maximum of 7 ft on Saturday, at places offshore.

Visibility on both days will vary between 4-8 kilometres.

Due to the expected high seas during the weekend, QMD urged all citizens and residents to avoid all marine activities.
