The sixth edition of S’hail 2022 - Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition saw a huge surge in attendance on the weekend to add to its already heavy footfall of visitors yesterday.
The exhibition will conclude today, Saturday. Qatar’s signature falcon exhibition, which underlines the significance of the rich culture and heritage, opened on September 5 and involves 180 participating companies excelling in hunting-related and falconry products from 20 countries.
The exhibition has been witnessing high-level visits by a number of dignitaries and sheikhs, in addition to a number of Their Excellencies and the ambassadors accredited to the State of Qatar. On Friday, it recorded visits by H E Hamad bin Nasser Al Misned, President of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority; and H E Dr. Hassan Rashid Al Derham, President of Qatar University, in addition to Their Excellencies the ambassadors of Armenia, Serbia, Sweden and Turkey.
Commenting on the sixth edition of S’hail exhibition, Malika Mohammad Al Sharim, Executive Member, Higher Organising Committee of S’hail, said S’hail has proved to be a global success attracting major international companies specialising in falcons and hunting-related products. The integration is valued in the activities and events S’hail offers that combine the heritage, cultural, artistic and commercial values at the same time.
Al Sharim said the exhibition also offers opportunities to industry experts, thereby generating job opportunities and agreements. S’hail also contributes to revitalising the local market in the light of safe shopping.
It has succeeded in drawing people’s attention to the ancient Qatari heritage, highlighting the most important hobbies related to hunting and camping.
The pavilions of companies producing falconry products and hunting-related supplies are very popular with visitors due to the variety S’hail offers.
The pavilions promoting caravans at S’hail have also been a preferred area for those into hunting, adventure and off-road trips. Since its launch six years ago, S’hail has allocated a special area for display of luxurious selection of mobile caravans which are strong and superiorly comfortable at the same time. These caravans are manufactured locally and are specifically designed for desert conditions. Their features with innovative accessories make the Qatari industry stand out in competition with world’s best and well-known makers.
The caravans on offer in this edition are available in different sizes, and in varying degrees of luxury, the largest of which is 24 metres long and 4.2 metres wide. It contains two rooms, a majilis, a kitchen, bathrooms and a jacuzzi. The price of this can reach up to QR700,000 since these caravans are also equipped with huge water tanks with a capacity of about 700,000 litres, and high-quality sewage system, solar panels to operate air-conditioners and other devices such as refrigerators and TV sets, and satellite TV.
They have all the amenities and elegant interior and exterior designs making them the most suitable, desirable and ideal choice.
According to the owners of companies participating in the exhibition, the Qatari products of caravans are a result of their long experience in manufacturing as this industry has been localised since the 1980s meeting the increasing demand for these products.
And given the luxury of caravans, and the advantage of moving from one place to another, housing caravans will be among the many options available to people who will come to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup 2022.
