Oman pardons over 200 prisoners

Muscat: Sultan HM Haitham Bin Tariq of the Sultanate of Oman pardoned a number of prisoners jailed for various offenses.

285 inmates were pardoned, including 118 foreign nationals, according to Oman News Agency.

The pardon coincides with the occasion of His Majesty's assumption of the reins of power in the country.
