'Intaj' Film, Television & Theatre Exhibition

Doha Film Institute brings the multimedia exhibition Intaj to the public to explore Qatar's heritage and legacy in film, television, and theatre. 

The exhibition's first gallery, 'Taking Centre Stage', highlights the dramatic rise of theatre in the country. The second gallery, 'Tuned In', celebrates Qatar’s globally acclaimed television industry, while the third gallery, 'A Focus on Filmmaking', spotlights Qatar’s rich cinematic history, beginning with modest 16mm film theatres in the 1950s. No entry fee to witness the remarkable origin of Qatar’s film, television, and theatre industries.

'On the Move' Exhibition at NMOQ

'On the Move' is a special exhibition highlighting the rich and diverse forms of culture from three distinct regions: Central Sahara, Qatar, and Mongolia. The exhibition will take visitors on a unique historical journey with nomadic and semi-nomadic pastoralists—how they've created and maintained meaningful social lives while producing complex and beautiful cultural forms in challenging environments.

GOAL Art Exhibition by Ahmed Almaadheed

The artist behind the iconic ‘Tamim Al Majd’ portrait will open an exhibition of his latest works at the A M Gallery at Place Vendome Mall.

'A Sneak Peek at Qatar Auto Museum Project' by Qatar Museums

Explore one of Qatar's heritage sites and check out the second part of 'A Sneak Peek at Qatar Auto Museum Project' that is on view until December 19, 2023. The exhibition offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience and learn about Qatar's car culture, private museums, automotive collectors, motorsport clubs, and national champions.
The display at Al Zubarah Fort includes three unique cars: a Volkswagen Race Touareg (3rd generation), a Ford Bronco XLT (4th generation), and a BMW M2CS sports car. Free admission to visit the heritage site and the exhibition.

'Raku Kichizaemon XV·Jikinyū: A Living Tradition of Japanese Pottery' Exhibition

Following a visit to Qatar in 2018, artist Raku Kichizaemon XV·Jikinyū was inspired to create a body of work that incorporated sands and minerals from the Qatari desert into the body and glazes of a series of tea bowls.

Raku is an internationally known process in the production of pottery, and for over 450 years, Raku ceramics have evolved into an art form. The exhibition features a set of fourteen ceremonial tea bowls inspired by Raku's visit to Qatar. In his words, "the artworks represent the land, desert, light, and sea of old and new Qatar." Visit 'Winter Vegetables Markets'

Ongoing, from 7am to 2pm

Over 100 local farms offering fresh locally-grown vegetables are available at five winter markets in the country. The seasonal markets which offer agricultural produce at competitive prices are located in Al Mazrooah, Al Khor-Al Thakhira, Al Wakrah, Al Sheehaniya, and Al Shamal.

The markets offer a variety of vegetables including cucumber, zucchini, bitter gourd, pumpkin, beans, eggplant, mint, coriander, and other leafy vegetables. Dates, honey, and eggs from local farms are also available. Go and support national products by purchasing directly from Qatari farms. Scan the QR codes for the locations.
