Doha: Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) allowed all consumer and commercial complexes to extend their working hours without obtaining prior approvals during the holy month of Ramadan.

All consumer and commercial complexes (hypermarkets, supermarkets, etc.) can extend the work hours to 24 hours a day during the month of Ramadan, calling on the commercial sectors to clearly announce working hours for consumers, the ministry said in a statement Thursday.

This approach comes within the framework of MOCI's efforts to stimulate the commercial sectors and provide the consumer with the opportunity to choose the right shopping time due to the specificity of the month of Ramadan, where all the commercial and consumer complexes are witnessing a high turnout from the public.
