Doha, Qatar: The fifth edition of the Qatar International Art Festival (QIAF) with the theme “The environment and sustainability” will take place on November 20 to 25 at the Cultural Zone of Expo 2023 Doha located at Al Bidda Park.
One of the largest art festivals in the country, QIAF will feature a diverse array of artistic experiences.
The festival has 12 distinct events where visitors can look forward to a rich tapestry of artistic expression, including painting and sculpture exhibitions, the Youth International Art Exhibition, a Qatar cultural tour, an art panel talk show, an art conference, masterclasses, creative art workshops, live painting demonstrations, a sustainable and artistic fashion show, a cultural musical evening, networking dinners, and an awards night.
In a message, Head of QIAF and founder and President of The MAPS International WLL, Rashmi Agarwal, said: “QIAF is not just an art festival, it is an emotion. It welcomes and connects the artists worldwide at this fine festival having more than 300 artists from over 65 countries along with Galleries.” “Great things are always achieved and accomplished by a group of people, having trust in each other and when everyone is committed to the overall goal, teams move faster, are more innovative, and more successful. A wish changes nothing. A decision changes everything. Your path to success begins with your participation. Think big, trust yourself and make it happen.” The festival’s masterclasses are set to be among the highlights, featuring eight sessions covering a range of topics, including unique techniques, technology with art, artificial intelligence with art, colour therapy, musical rhythm with art, skills enhancement for participants, knowledge imparting, audio-video documentary, and digital art.
Distinguished dignitaries and professionals will participate in an art panel discussion centred on “The science of 'art' towards sustainability and environmental responsibility.” In 2022, the festival was held at the Katara Cultural Village, where it showcased works by 325 artists representing over 65 nationalities.
