Cinema Under the Stars

In the lead-up to the 2018 Ajyal Film Festival, DFI Cinema invites the residents of Qatar to another unforgettable ‘Cinema under the Stars’.

The screening will showcase six notable shorts from the 'Made in Qatar' collection like The Noble Tree, Smicha, Passport and Al Johara, along with ‘Kai’, a wonderful animated film from famed South Korean animator Lee Sung-gang.

The event is for free, and seats are allotted on a first come first served basis.

Doha Air Show 2018

Italian Airforce Acrobatic Team and Qatar Display Team will exhibit a stunning air show 'Frecce Tricolor' Doha Air Show 2018 for the residents of Qatar.

The Italian Embassy has invited residents to visit the Corniche to view the thrilling display as it takes place over the skies of Doha.

Katara European Jazz Festival 2018

Top jazz musicians from 13 countries are set to enthrall lovers of the genre at the this year’s edition of the annual Katara European Jazz Festival.

In its fifth edition, the festival has grown through the years, from five participants in its inaugural edition to 13 participating countries this year including Germany, France, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, Netherlands, Hungary, Poland, Switzerland, Romania, Belgium and Italy which are members of European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) Cluster in Qatar.

Torch Staircase Run 2018

Registrations are fast filling up for this popular event at the Aspire Zone. A unique endurance challenge, runners have to climb over 1,300 steps to make it to the 51st floor of the 300m Torch Tower. Community members from all fitness levels that fit in the below age groups can participate:
Junior (8-11 years old)
U15 (12 – 14 years old)
U18 (15 – 17 years old)
Senior (above 18 years old)

There will be a yoga session before the awarding, fan zone with games and many food & beverages varieties.

Katara Triathlon 2018

Katara Triathlon is the first event of the Qatar National Triathlon Series including swim (750 m), cycle (20km) and run course (5 km) in sprint distance for individuals and teams and a beach aquathlon for the kids.

The price for the event ranges from QR 50 to QR 350 depending on the categories.

Event registration starts at 5 am.
