Turkish Airlines has achieved great success and is enabling millions of global travellers to discover Turkey and beyond, said Fikret Ozer, the Turkish Ambassador to Qatar. He was speaking at the annual event of Qatar office of Turkish Airlines held at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Doha on Wednesday.
The national flag carrier of Turkey had organised the annual event to celebrate its partnerships with various stakeholders in Qatar.
Fikret Ozer said during the event: “It’s my pleasure to announce that since launching their route to Qatar in 2006, Turkish Airlines has achieved great success and enabled millions of global travellers to discover Turkey and beyond. With 316 destinations,
“Turkish Airlines is fuelling the passion for exploration and connecting travellers to all corners of the world. Thank you for being here tonight. We also thank you for your efforts in helping countless travellers explore the stunning scenery, rich historic legacy and welcoming culture of Turkey.”
During the event, the company welcomed corporate clients, travel agencies and media for their support and contributions to the growth of the airline during the year.
The ceremony was led by Mehmed Zingal, General Manager of Turkish Airlines’ Qatar office, and participants were treated to a night of fun, entertainment and great hospitality that Turkish Airlines, the airline that flies to more countries than any other airline, is renowned for.
The highlights of the night include a raffle draw where attendees had the opportunity to win several prizes including the grand prize of one business class ticket to anywhere in Europe among others.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mehmed Zingal, said, “I am gratified to see this huge turnout tonight. This is clearly a reflection of the robust relationship between us and a testimony to a wonderful partnership that has continued to grow stronger and better every passing year.
“This event is another way of expressing our deepest gratitude to our partners for their constant support and contribution to the growth of Turkish Airlines.” Turkish Airlines recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of its Miles & Smiles loyalty programme in Qatar. The airlines currently flies to 316 destinations, where in 2019 alone, Turkish Airlines has inaugurated 6 new destinations to their flight network including Sharjah, Bali, Rovaniemi, Marrakesh, Port Sudan and Luxor.
