The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has warned against consuming the "Calvé Peanuts Sauce Mild" and "Calvé Peanuts Sauce Spicy" brands of peanut sauce products that originated in the Netherlands, with an expiration date of 05/15/2023, on suspicion of being contaminated with pieces of flexible rubber.
The ministry indicated that it had monitored a notification through the European Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) regarding the product, and it had taken the necessary precautionary measures and informed all suppliers to immediately withdraw the product from the market.
The ministry also directed its inspectors to verify that the concerned points of sale are free of the suspected batch of the product as an additional precautionary measure.
MoPH advises consumers not to consume the product in question, but rather to destroy the purchased quantities or return them to the point of sale from which they were purchased.
