‘The Great Inca road’ photo exhibition opens at Katara

Doha, Qatar: The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara and Embassy of Peru in Qatar inaugurated on Monday ‘The Great Inca road’ exhibition at Building 47 which features 32 photographic paintings inspired by the beauty of the diverse landscapes in Peru and its rich culture.

The opening was led by Katara Deputy Director-General of the Foundation and Director of the Human Resources Department, Saif Al Dosari and Peru Ambassador to Qatar H E Jose Benzaquin Perea, and was attended by a number of their Excellencies, ambassadors and media professionals.

Ambassador Perea delivered a speech in which he touched on his country’s stunning beauty, attractive landscapes, and ancient history that made it a distinguished tourist destination, indicating the legacy of the Inca civilisation, which is an ancient empire built by the Inca people in South America, and it included the land of this civilization. Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, and part of Chile and Argentina.

He also pointed out the importance of the Inca road in achieving communication between peoples and civilisations.

Moreover, the envoy praised the efforts of cooperation with Katara in building bridges of communication between the culture of his country and the various cultures, given that the Cultural Village is the meeting place of peoples and cultures.

‘The Great Inca road ’ exhibition will run until June 15.
