On the other hand, parents praised the distinguished level and high status that the holy Quran memorization competition for the blessed month of Ramadan reached in its twelfth session, expressing their happiness with the outcomes of the course and its profound impact on developing the ability to memorise, strengthening language skills and understanding the rules of the Arabic language.

The competition also allowed children to memorise and learn the meaning of the surahs and verses of the holy Quran.

It also helped them understand the principles of religion and the values and rulings of Islam, stressing that memorising the holy Quran motivates the child to seek knowledge and increase it.

Sheikh Muhammad Makki, the imam and preacher of the Katara Mosque, expressed his happiness with the success of the course in encouraging children to memorise the holy Quran and enhancing the skill of memorising, reviewing and confirming what has been memorised.

He stressed the importance of the Quranic session in encouraging children on the proper use of the Arabic language and understanding of the holy Quran, recitation, intonation, study and memorisation, in addition to its role in instilling virtuous Islamic values and good morals, which are derived from the holy Qur’an and the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) biography.
