Ramallah: Numerous Israeli military vehicles rammed into Dura city, southwest of Hebron, on Saturday, with Israeli military forces detaining two Palestinian youths whose identities were not yet known. These forces stationed themselves in the city and continued firing live bullets and sound bombs at the residents, with no injuries reported, Palestine's News Agency (WAFA) reported.
Meanwhile, Palestinians were also injured by suffocation on Saturday during an Israeli military raid on Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, where a young man was arrested after being assaulted.
Local sources reported confrontations in central Beit Ummar and Safa Square, during which Israeli forces fired live and rubber bullets, sound bombs, and tear gas, causing dozens of Palestinians to suffer from gas inhalation and be treated on the field.
The Israeli occupation soldiers detained a 23-year-old man, assaulted him, and took him to a military camp in Karmei Tzur settlement, south of Beit Ummar, the sources continued, adding that Beit Ummar faces daily raids, with soldiers obstructing vehicle movement at Safa Square.
Throughout the recent months the Israeli occupation forces stepped up their assault on the Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, along with incursions, arrests and randomly firing live bullets in many Palestinian cities and towns.
