Muhammad wins U-19 title of Doha Junior Open

Doha:  Muhammad Asim Khan of Pakistan won the Under-19 category of the Doha Junior Open to live up to his billing as top seed of the tournament.
At the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, Muhammad won 11-8, 9-11, 11-5, 11-9 against Sajad Zareian of Iran.
Earlier in the semi-finals, Muhammad over compatriot and Qatar Junior Open winner Israr Ahmad 11-6, 11-7, 11-5, to have his revenge having lost in the semis of the Qatar Junior Open.
In the other last four clash, Zareian overcame the challenge of India’s Sandeep Ramachandran 11-8, 11-8, 5-11, 11-5.
In the U-17 section, Kashif Asif defeated Alireza Shameli of Iran 14-16, 9-11, 11-2, 11-3, 11-6.
The U-15 final turned into an all-Malaysian affair with Darryl Gan Zi Kang prevailing over Siow Yee Xian 11-8, 11-4, 12-10.  The U-13 title also went to a Malaysian with Muhammad Azhar winning over Navaneeth Prabhu of India 12-10, 11-6, 6-11, 19-17.  
In the U-11 section, Mohammed Ouda of Qatar went down fighting to Muhammad Huzaifa Ibrahim of Pakistan 11-1, 11-3, 11-9.
The Peninsula
