DOHA: Qatar bagged medals at the GCC Junior Squash Championship, Qatar Squash Federation (QSF) has announced.
Syed Azlan Amjad of Qatar won the gold in the Under-19 category beating Isa Ghoolam of Kuwait in the final.
Syed won the final 11-7, 11-7, 11-7 and sealed his win without dropping a set in the tournament.
In the Under-15 category, Qatar’s Abdel Aziz Ishaq finished in third spot.
In the team event, Qatar picked up the silver medal. Qatar beat Saudi Arabia and Bahrain before losing to Kuwait in the final.

Qatar contingent included coach Stewart Boswell and Hani Awada. Yusuf Al Malki and Talal Al Mawlawi also accompanied the Qatar delegation to Bahrain.
