Doha: Within the framework of Qatar Cancer Society’s (QCS) constant endeavour to support cancer awareness efforts and care for individuals living with Cancer, it has participated in the preparation and publication of several research projects.
It is being held in cooperation with many international organizations, especially Union for International Cancer Control, of which QCS is an active member.
QCS has published a research project on ‘Antimicrobial Resistance Control Supplement - The Challenge for Cancer Community’ to sustain focus on antimicrobial resistance and mobilise action on addressing it. QCS collaborated with the Union For International Cancer Control on a policy research project on antimicrobial resistance control emphasizing the impact of antimicrobial resistance on cancer care outcomes. It was launched at the World Cancer Congress 2022. Written by over 50 experts committed to researching the scale of Antimicrobial resistance and finding workable solutions, the supplement is an excellent reference for the cancer community and a key resource for advocacy efforts.
Also, it participated in Cancer Control Eastern Mediterranean Region Special Report. In collaboration with Eastern Mediterranean Non-Communicable Diseases Alliance, the Qatar Cancer Society participated in a study that the World Health Organization Regional Director, Eastern Mediterranean Region, acknowledged.
