Kuwait: A senior Kuwaiti official on Tuesday affirmed that Kuwait would certainly pursue mediation efforts to resolve the inter-GCC dispute and maintain the council member States' solidarity. 

Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad, the assistant foreign minister for the affairs of the deputy prime minister and foreign minister's bureau hoped that some kind of breakthrough "detente" would materialise in the near future. 

He was speaking at a training session for the Kuwaiti military attaches at Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute. 

Developments that have taken place in the region underline and bring into the spotlight necessity of solidarity among the GCC States in the face of plentiful hazards affecting the region, he said. 

He asserted Kuwait's keenness on pushing forward peace solutions and adhering to UN resolutions and international conventions.
