New York---Seattle linebacker Bruce Irvin was docked $10,000 on Friday for igniting a scuffle at the end of Super Bowl 49 as the league fined four players involved.
The New England Patriots were trying to run out the clock after Malcolm Butler's win-sealing interception in Arizona on Sunday when some tempers flared.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was trying to take a knee and let the clock run out when Irvin got into a shoving match with Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski.
Irvin who was ejected from the contest and later apologized, drew the heaviest fine.
Team-mate Michael Bennett was fined $8,268, as were Gronkowski and fellow Patriots tight end Michael Hoomanawanui.
