Doha: FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated on Thursday that Qatar will be a home for the entire world within a few weeks, as FIFA and Qatar are working hard to produce an exceptional tournament at all levels.
Speaking on the 'Power of Sports' at the closing session of the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH 2022), Infantino said that the world would see the most magnificent edition of the World Cup as of November 20.
He highlighted the great impact organizing the tournament has had on Qatar.
"The world saw this after the Qatari national team won the Asian Nations Cup in 2019, which manifested the great qualitative leap that Qatari football has achieved and the transformation of Doha into a capital of world sports," Infantino said.
The FIFA President thanked all officials in Qatar for implementing the vision and positive transformations to present the best edition of the World Cup, the most important football tournament to be organized as the COVID-19 pandemic is coming to an end.
This year's edition of the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH 2022), held under the title "Healing The Future," focused on four main themes: the post-COVID-19 legacy; disability and accessibility; sport and health; and wellbeing.
