Doha: The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday.
Cabinet reviewed the report of the Ministry of Public Health on the latest developments related to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) and decided to amend its decision issued at its regular meeting (19) for the year 2022 held on May 18, 2022, by mandating citizens, residents and visitors to wear masks in closed public places and this decision will be implemented as of Thursday, July 7, 2022.
As Qatar is seeing an increase in daily average cases among community and travellers, a senior health official said that it is expected that the number of cases will increase in the coming weeks as the easing of restrictions may lead to an increase in the number of positive cases.
