Doha: Saudi Arabia has announced that starting from Sunday 6 March 2022, issuing Umrah permits for Ramadan is available via Eatmarna and Tawakkalna applications.
“The Ministry and other entities working in the service of pilgrims are keen to facilitate performing Umrah in the holy month of Ramadan by allowing the Guests of Allah to pre-plan their Umrah,” Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said in a press release.
The Ministry said that wearing the masks while performing Umrah in the Grand Mosque is still required; and to provide the opportunity of performing Umrah for the biggest number of Muslims, those who would like to change their permit date must delete the permit first and then re-issue another permit with the new date.
The Ministry noted that the periods for booking Umrah are raised from 8 to 12 periods a day. That allows the users to choose the suitable time and know the crowd percentage by reading the colored icons when choosing the desired time while issuing the permit using Eatmarna and Tawakkalna applications.
