Doha: In celebration of art and artists, the Cultural Village Foundation, Katara inaugurated today the Azerbaijan Cultural Corner at Building 47.
The event was in the presence of Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Qatar, H E Rashad Ismayilov.
Katara General Manager Prof Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti said that Katara continues its mission of building bridges between cultures and peoples. The inauguration of the cultural corners, in cooperation with a number of embassies in the country, is one of the cultural artistic projects that Katara is working on.
It is a tree-shaped bronze sculpture with depiction of one of the eye-catching architectural works modern Baku.
In his speech, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan said: The Azerbaijani Cultural Corner is a unique statue made by the Azerbaijani sculptor Movruz Musayev.
He stressed that this sculpture indicates the development of relations between Qatar and Azerbaijan, not only in the political or economic fields, but also in the cultural field, which represents the role of public diplomacy as a bridge to establish friendship between peoples.
