Qatar plane carrying aid arrives in Sudan, 164 residents evacuated

Doha, Qatar: A Qatari plane carrying 37 tons of foodstuffs, provided by the Qatar Fund for Development, arrived at the Port Sudan Airport in the sisterly Republic of Sudan.

This aid comes within the framework of the State of Qatar's support for the Sudanese people, and its full support for their steadfastness in the face of the difficult circumstances they are currently living through, due to the ongoing conflict.

In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the evacuation of 164 Qatari residency holders from the sisterly Republic of Sudan, by a Qatari plane that took off from Port Sudan Airport, bringing the total of those evacuated to 1,784 residents.

Qatar had earlier evacuated Qatari citizens in Sudan, and 1,620 Qatari residency holders.

The Ministry reiterated the keenness of the State of Qatar to establish security and stability in the sisterly Republic of Sudan.
