Doha: The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani used his official twitter handle (@ANK_AlThani) for the first time to tweet about the one year of the blockade.
The verified account of the Prime Minister shows that the account was created on May 2018, but he tweeted his first tweet around 30 minutes back.
The tweet in Arabic is as follows
منذ سنة من الآن بدأت مرحلة جديدة وبتوجيهات سيدي سمو الأمير أن #قطر بحاجة لكل من يعيش عليها لبناء اقتصادها وحماية أمنها والاجتهاد والإبداع من أجلها وكان نداء الواجب حاضراً لدى كل من يعمل في القطاع العام والخاص من مواطنين ومقيمين فعملوا بجدٍ واجتهاد، وها نحن نجني ثمار عملنا جميعاً
A rough translation from the Arabic tweet:
“A year ago, a new phase began, under the guidance of His Highness the Amir Qatar needs everyone who lives on it to build its economy and protect the country. It was a call of duty for everyone working in the public and private sector. Citizens and residents worked hard and diligent, and here we reap the fruits of our work.”
The followers are growing at a very fast pace and it has reached 1700 as of filing this report.
