As part of its constant endeavours to revive the original heritage in its Qatari and Gulf dimensions, the Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, will celebrate the Garangao Night tonight.
The event will start at 8.30pm at Al Hikma Square, facing Building 15 (near the fountain). Garangao is a special traditional night celebrated on the 14th of Ramadan.
Meanwhile, Katara continues its various Ramadan activities, which include a number of competitions, workshops, and lectures, including a lecture entitled 'The Elderly and Chronic Diseases, and Spring of the Qur’an lectures' presented by Katara in cooperation with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
For lovers of art and handicrafts, Katara presents a number of distinguished workshops aimed at children from 10 to 15 years old, including a workshop entitled Memories from the Corners of Our Home, on Friday, April 7, and another workshop entitled A Gift for Parents on April 8, by artist Dina Hammam, both of which will be from 8.30pm to 10.30pm at Katara Art Studios in Building 19. Moreover, parents expressed their appreciation for Katara’s focus in its Ramadan activities this year on the value of honouring parents, especially the workshops and activities directed at the child, given their great impact on his upbringing and his future, which will be reflected in the cohesion of the family and the safety of society.
