Kuwait Amir appreciates efforts exerted to support joint Gulf and Arab action

Al-Ula: The Amir of the State of Kuwait HH Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah expressed his appreciation for the efforts exerted to support the joint Gulf and Arab action.

This came in His Highness speech before the 41st session of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) at Maraya Center in Al-Ula governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Kuwait Amir also thanked the Custodian of the Two Holly Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for hosting the GCC summit and for the distinguished preparation and organization of this summit, praising the keenness of all brothers to hold this summit so that together we can support the joint Gulf and Arab action, preserve our gains and achieve the hopes and aspirations of our peoples.

His Highness hailed the historic achievement, the signing of Al-Ula Declaration, remembering the faithful and constructive role of the late HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah who hugely contributed to the success of this agreement.

HH the Amir expressed gratitude for Saudi King and his government for naming the Summit the summit of "Sultan Qaboos and Sheikh Sabah" in appreciation of the two Gulf leaders' service of Arab and Islamic causes.

HH the Amir also thanked US President Donald Trump and his advisor Jared Kushner for contributing to the "noble objective" and conclude the agreement. He appreciated keenness of the leaders of the GCC and Egypt to exert further efforts to achieve aspirations of the people.

HH the Amir of the State of Kuwait praised the prominent role of the Arab Republic of Egypt and its positions in support of issues of concern to the region's security and stability.

"Calling our Declaration the Solidarity Agreement reflects our keenness and conviction in its importance, and it reflects on the other hand our conviction that restoring it is a continuation of our desire on unity of our Arab nation," he said.

Following the speech of the Amir of the State of Kuwait, HE GCC Secretary General Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, welcomed the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, calling on the leaders and heads of delegations to sign the final statement of the summit and the Al-Ula Declaration.
