Doha, Qatar: The Cultural Village Foundation- Katara announced holding its first book fair within the 9th Edition of Katara Festival for Arabic Novel, which is scheduled to be held from October 13 to 20.

All Qatari publishing houses participate in the Katara Book Fair, in addition to major local libraries.

The exhibition aims to facilitate readers’ access to Qatari publishing houses, keep up with their new publications, and contribute to spreading the culture of reading among the public in general.

Katara Book Fair focuses on books of Arabic literature in all its arts, poetry, fiction and criticism, to keep pace with the Arab Novel Week, along with books from various specialties. The Katara Book Fair is scheduled to be organized annually in conjunction with Novel Week. Katara has experience in organizing book fairs, as the Cultural Village previously held an open book fair in early 2021, in cooperation with the Qatari Publishers and Distributors Forum.
