VCUarts Qatar is holding community classes for Fall 2018 (October-December). Qatar residents will get a chance to learn new skills in art and culture in these classes, which will be of short durations.
There are over 40 courses of art, design and craft such as freehand sketching, fashion design, introduction to filmmaking, designing of abaya, silver jewelry making, graffiti art, water brush calligraphy, basic photography for adults and many more.
There are some unique classes as well like “Introduction to Virtual Reality”, where participants can learn the fundamentals of using Unity 3D to build beautiful and performant VR scenes for Google cardboard.
Fees vary from QR 550 to QR 2000 depending on the course you are interested in.
Participants can register online or visit VCUQatar for in-person registration during normal office hours, from Sunday to Thursday, 9am to 12pm, and 2pm to 3:45 pm.
“Seats are limited and can only be reserved with the full payment. While registration is open until classes start, it is recommended that anyone interested sign up as soon as possible as seats are limited and classes sell out early,” VCU-Q posted on their website.
