Protesting French farmers roll into Paris on tractors

Dozens of tractors converge to the rally point Place de la Nation during a farmer protest in Paris.

 

PARIS:  Over 1,000 tractors were rolling towards Paris on Thursday as farmers tried to clog up the capital's roads in protest at falling food prices.

The first convoy to enter the city came from the western region of Brittany, a stronghold of milk and pork production.
