Amman:  The Jordanian government has decided to open all economic sectors as of Wednesday, with full production capacity, provided that Jordanian labour is no less than 75 percent, except for restaurants, cafes, places of worship, wedding halls, nurseries, schools, cinemas, conference facilities, exhibitions, and gyms.
Also, the Jordanian government issued a defense order obliging the owners of authorized facilities to operate with the utmost caution and limiting negative measures inside them by obligating all employees and customers to wear masks and gloves to avoid the coronavirus (COVID-19).
In a press briefing, Jordan's Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply Tariq Hammouri said that the government decided to allow public transport to operate in all governorates with a capacity of 50 percent, in addition to allowing the transportation of Jordanian citizens with their vehicles within the same governorate.
Furthermore, Jordan's State Minister for Media Affairs Amjad Adaileh said that everyone must adhere to the established spacing distances and commit to wearing gloves before entering public institutions and places where they provide direct services to the public. Health providers and direct service providers to the public and delivery personnel are also obligated to wear masks and gloves, he added.
Minister of Health of Jordan Saad Jaber said that no new COVID-19 cases registered in his country. He added that one case was registered for a non-Jordanian driver at a border cross point and he was not allowed to enter.
