Pakistani Sufi rock band Junoon returned to Qatar with yet another full house concert after 17 years. The band, which was formed in 1990, reunited again after a split of 13 years are performing around the world and is expected to release a new album this year.
With a dramatic entry, Junoon started off with their famous track ‘Khudi’, which got the crowd grooving and set the mood for the evening.
The next track "Dosti' was dedicated to Qatar-Pakistan friendship.
Organized by QNTC as part of the Shop Qatar 2020, the show held at QNCC was almost three hours of electrifying performance by the band, who was the pioneers of sufi rock, in front of packed auditorium of enthralled Junoon fans.
The band played all their famous songs like Sayoonee, Bulleya, Pappu Yaar, Husn Walo and Dil Dil Pakistan, which was a tribute to Junaid Jamshed, a fellow singer who passed away in a plane crash in 2016.
Salman, the lead guitarist entertained the crowd with his mesmerizing guitar skills and comic banter with the lead singer Ali Azmat.
The band also crooned "Chalay thay Saath", which highlighted the journey of Junoon till the now.
The show ended with the song 'Jazba' which made the crowd relive their memories as they sang along with the band.
