The Secretary General of the Qatar Fencing Federation (QFF), Khalid Mohammed Al Yazeedi (centre), addressing a press conference ahead of the Qatar Fencing Grand Prix 2014 at the Gate Mall in Doha yesterday. The three-day championship will take place from December 5 to 7 at Aspire Academy and the Gate Mall. The preliminary rounds will take place at the Aspire Academy while the finals will take place at the Gate Mall on Friday and Saturday. The event will bring together 288 fencers representing 46 countries. Fencers from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Congo, Ivory Coast, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iraq, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kuwait, Lativia, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mauritius, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunis, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, United States and Venezuela will be taking part. QFF has been organising the Grand Prix since 2005 in accordance with the Federation Internationale D’Escrime (FIE).
