Doha: There is a new destination for movie buffs in Qatar. Roxy Cinemas opened its doors at the B-Square Mall at Thumama, off F-ring road.
Malayalam movie lovers will have a chance to explore the cinemas as super hit film Pulimurugan will be screening here from next week and according to the Roxy officials not many theatres in Qatar will be showing the movie. It is screened only at City Center, Villaggio and Al Khor theatres.
They have five screens, which are all 3-D equipped, and will feature latest movies from all around the world.
Four of the five are regular screen and the fifth one is a VIP screen, where you can experience better comfort and service, according to Firas Arbid, Sales and Marketing Manager of Roxy Cinemas.
Currently they have shows starting from 1pm and goes on till 11pm. For now you can check the show timings and movie details from their social media platforms.
The ticket price for the regular screen is QR35 and for VIP it is QR100.
They will be screening Pulimurugan, a super hit Malayalam Movie from next week and are expected to see huge rush for the same. Pulimurugan has broken many record in Malayalam film industry and is still going strong in Indian theatres.
Currently they have four movies including The Mermaid Princess and Genius screened. And the snack bar is also operational.
“We had a soft opening and later on November 15 we will have a grand opening. To celebrate the soft opening we are having a special promotion in all screens. Movie-goers will get a popcorn and Pepsi free with every ticket,” said Arbid.
The B-Square will also host many retail and dining outlets other than the cinemas. The Dutch supermarket chain Spar will be operating from the mall.
