DOHA: Social Development Center - NAMA launched yesterday “My Decision” campaign, which is aimed at supporting young people and help them contribute positively to the progress of the society.
Held at Qatar National Library, the event has several sessions, including a discussion dialogue that brought together the youth involved in the campaign.

The two-week campaign targets those aged 15-25 years and aims at developing their skills to contribute to Qatar’s future and help them overcome the challenges and hesitation they may face as they choose a discipline. This includes raising their awareness of the importance of selecting majors that suit their educational preferences, introducing them to the needs of the job market and highlighting gaps in the specialised areas required by a knowledge economy.
The campaign also introduces the ‘My Decision’ mobile app. Students can use the app to seek answers to many challenges they face as they choose their academic and professional tracks. The app features personality tests to match students to an area of study, a search engine for local universities and their programmes, direct applications to academic and professional courses, and opportunities for experience in the local job market.
The launch ceremony also included a video that briefed the goals of the campaign to rehabilitate our youth to make the right decision that gives them opportunities and appropriate future careers. The campaign includes a number of workshops and lectures, provided to a number of official authorities and independent schools like the National Service Authority, Omar bin Al Khattab Independent Secondary School for Boys, Al Wakra Secondary School for Boys, Umm Ayman Secondary School for Girls, and Aysha bint Abi Bakr Secondary School for Girls.
