QWSC President Al Mana receives award from IOC

RIGHT: Al Mana poses with her trophy. The IOC described Al Mana as a ‘a pioneer for women’s rights’ who ‘has played an active role in popularising sports among schoolgirls’ in Qatar. The IOC also said Al Mana played an ‘integral role’ in the participation of four Qatari female athletes at last year’s London Olympics, the first time Qatar sent women athletes to the Games.
