Squash: QSF to host two junior tournaments this month

Doha:  Qatar Squash Federation (QSF) will hold two back-to-back events this month at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, it was announced here yesterday.
The Qatar Junior Open 2016 and the Doha Junior Open 2016 will be held from March 5 to 7 and March 7 to 9 respectively in Doha. 
Both the tournaments are Asian Squash Federation (ASF) Junior Super Series Silver events and all the participants will receive ASF ranking points in all the categories.
The tournaments will be held in 10 categories and in both boys and girls section in under-11, 13, 15, 17 and 19.  All matches will be played to the best of five games, 11 points - PAR (Point-A-Rally).
Players from Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Singapore and Qatar are taking part in both the tournaments.
 “Matches will be played in both the morning and evening session and matches will be played on all courts. The morning session matches will start at 9:30am.The afternoon session matches will start at 4:30pm,” said Gamal Rasmi, Technical Secretary of QSF.
“A player can enter in only one age category and the cut-off-date is March 7, 2016. The tournament is open to all juniors of any nationality.  All foreign player entries must be endorsed by their respective National Association and entry forms not endorsed by the National Association will not be accepted,” he added.
