Qatar to bid for 2019 World Junior swim championship

Doha: Qatar Swimming Federation (QSF) President Khalil Al Jaber said that Qatar is aiming to bid for the 2019 World Junior Championship, as well as the 2023 World Senior Championship for aquatic sports.
Al Jaber said in a statement released here yesterday that the upcoming World Junior Championships will be held in 2015 in Singapore and in 2017 in Hungary, while the 2019 championship is still undecided.
“We seek to host this tournament and we have all the potentials that will help us to get the right to organize it, and we hope to achieve this goal.” 
He said that the world junior championship (50m) will see the participation of more than 1,700 players, while world senior championship will have aquatic sports with the participation of world swimmers.
QSF President said Qatar will take advantage of the huge success accomplished after the organization of the 12th FINA World Swimming Championships held in early December last year.
