Toyota Camry, Jaguar recalled over defects

DOHA: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) yesterday announced recall of Toyota Camry and Jaguar vehicles. The recall of Toyota Camry will be done in collaboration with Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co, the dealer of Toyota Camry in Qatar. The recall of Toyota Camry 2011-2014 models is due to defects in the software of the Engine Control System that needs to be upgraded. The recall of Jaguar will be done in collaboration with Alfardan Premier Motors, the dealer of Jaguar vehicles in Qatar. Recall of Jaguar XF 2013 models is due to defects in the fuel pump.
This recall comes within the framework of the ongoing coordination and follow-up by the ministry to ascertain the dealers’ commitment to follow up defects and repair them to protect consumers’ rights.
MEC has also affirmed that it will coordinate with Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros and Alfardan Premier Motors to follow up the necessary maintenance and repair processes and will communicate with clients to ensure the success of the recall campaign.
